Wisconsin molder Total Quality Plastics closes

Total Quality Plastics Inc. is shuttering its only injection molding facility, in North Prairie, Wis., and laying off 32 workers, according to a WARN notice filed with the state Department of Workforce Development.
The company said in the statement that the closure was due to “changing business circumstances.”
Total Quality is a subsidiary of Hufcor Inc., of Janesville, Wis. Hufcor makes partitions for use in hotels, schools and convention centers. Neither company was available for comment.
According to the Total Quality Plastics website, it was an injection molder of thermoplastic parts and had been in business since 1992. It had presses ranging from 75 to 1,500 tons of clamping force.
