Herne, Germany-based Ter Plastics Polymer Group (part of the Hamburg-based Ter Group) has announced that it has acquired the majority of Poland’s Polimarky Performance Polymers in Rogoznica.

The new Ter Plastics subsidiary, which produces high performance compounds on the basis of engineering thermoplastics, has been renamed to Terez Performance Polymers.

The new subsidiary is equipped with Berstorff extrusion lines with a capacity of 22,700 tonnes per year, says Ter Plastics.

The company states that application development, as well as sales and distribution will continue to be headquartered in Herne, Germany.

“With our own production subsidiary we can now expand our position as a development partner to our customers,” said Ter Plastics managing director Wolf Koehler.

Ter Plastics says it expects sales of 150 million euros in 2014.
