Integral Technologies Inc. and its ElectriPlast Corp. have opened a new Detroit Technology Center to market ElectriPlast for future growth in the auto industry.

The center will expand Bellingham, Wash.-based Integral’s research and engineering capabilities and add to its applications development and technical support, the company said in a Jan. 3 news release.

ElectriPlast is a proprietary resin which the company says holds promise to replace steel and aluminum for shielding requirements in auto electronics, aerospace, consumer electronics and cable and alternative energy industries.

Integral has development agreements with a variety of companies, including BASF, Delphi Automotive plc and Hanwha L&C.
