Motan Colortronic GmbH, at K 2013, showed its Luxor CA S, a lightweight, compact version of its Luxor dryer, designed for small and micro-molded parts.

Hopper volumes come in 0.75-liter, 1.5-liter, 3 and 5 liters. The small dryers can be easily mounted onto a processing machine.

Luxor CA S takes factory-supplied compressed air, which is expanded to atmospheric pressure. According to Motan, that produces dry process air, with a very low dew point, which is then heated to the needed drying temperature.

The dryer does not use desiccant, making it good for clean room use, the company said.

Motan is based in Friedrichsdorf, Germany. Its U.S. operation is in Plainwell, Mich.
